Distance Learning Certificates

How has distance learning been going for you? For the most part I can’t really complain. My students have kept up with the work load and parents have been very supportive. We have our virtual awards ceremony next week and I wanted to do something extra special for my kiddos. I created these distance learning certificates to celebrate them and their hard work!

I will be honest though… These weeks of distance learning have not been easy. Teachers have been stressed, students have been stressed, parents have been stressed, yet and still, we’ve all plugged through together. This was a curveball for everyone, yet and still we made it through!

I didn’t think that we would ever reach the end of these unforeseen days though. When we left our classroom on Friday, March 13th, I never imagined we would have been teaching and learning from home for over 10 weeks.

I typically don’t like participation awards but in this case, I wanted to do something special for all of my students. These distance learning certificates were created to help celebrate all students!

Simply insert your personalized Bitmoji and you’ll be well on your way to having your own Distance Learning Certificates!

We’ve all been thrown for a loop here with distance learning. Never in a million years did we think that we would be where we are at, but yet and still here we are.

I wanted to give all of my kiddos a way to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments during this unforeseen time and thought that creating the super cute Bitmoji distance learning participation certificates was the perfect way to congratulate them.

Get Focused!

As a teacher and a teacherpreneur during this COVID-19 pandemic, it has been so hard for me to get focused!

I’ve been able to relax just a little bit more now that I am teaching from home but now I am finding that my relaxing is turning into a bit of a problem. Ha! Not a bad problem but just a tiny problem.

I began to feel that I needed to get on a schedule or some kind of routine to get me going and keep me focused. I decide to create a checklist for myself in which I broke things down into four categories.

  • Home
  • Work
  • Teacherpreneur Work
  • Physical

Within each of these four categories, I wrote down one thing that I would focus on for that day. So as an example this is what my Monday looks like:

  • Home- laundry
  • Work- Create Videos/Lessons for Google Classroom
  • Teacherpreneur Work- Work on continued rebranding & Shopify
  • Physical- go for a walk (social distancing of course) with my sister

This past week was the first time that I began to follow this checklist and let me tell you, it has been absolutely amazing!

I feel more focused and accomplished by the end of the day!

If you are feeling a bit thrown off from your normal schedule I am encouraging you to create a checklist or schedule for yourself that you can follow.

I know that at the end of each day I am feeling a little more accomplished and feel as though I was very productive for that day!

There are so many things that I want to see happen within my teacher growth and teachepreneur growth that if I don’t get focused, I’m just wasting time, and time right now is the only thing that seems constant.

Each morning I pull out my checklist and remind myself to Get Focused!

2 Free Digital Learning Resources

I don’t know about you but our district was thrown for a loop when we were told we were going to be closed until March 31st due to the pandemic we as a world are facing. Due to Covid-19 & digital learning educators from all over the world seemed to be scrambling to get things together for their kiddos.

My coworkers and I spent a good portion of two days trying to pull resources and get our students ready for their e-learning adventures. Little did we know that just five days later, our we found out that our district would be closed until the end of April. I think this will go on a bit further than April though.

I miss my students and want to provide quality content to them while we are apart. As I continue to try to navigate this whole new e-learning or distance learning environment, I wanted to share two FREE resources with you that I’ve created.

2nd & 3rd Grade Digital Learning Resource

The first resource is for 2nd and 3rd graders and it’s a math resource! I created these Adding and Subtracting Digital Learning Task Cards that work perfectly in Google Classroom. Actually, I’ll be honest, they were created for Google Classroom. These Digital Learning Task Cards are sure to meet all areas of basic addition and subtraction as well as higher level addition and subtraction.

How does this work? Students will answer questions on each task slide. There are three multiple choice answer options per math problem on each slide. Once they’ve solved the problem, they will drag the answer into the answer bank. There is an area on each slide where students can type out their thought process and how they came to the conclusion that they did.

4th & 5th Grade

Digital Learning Resource

The second digital learning resource I created is geared towards 4th and 5th graders, but can be applied to challenge students who are in third grade.

I absolutely LOVE this distance learning writing sample packet and your kids will also!

If you a parent or a teacher looking for ways to help your child or student review content throughout the year, then his FREE Distance Learning Writing Sample Week Resource is going to be perfect for you!

This FREE Distance Learning Writing Sample Week Resource includes:

  • A day by day breakdown of grammar review
  • 5 “What’s Going On Here” Photos where students must analyze the picture and write about it
  • A review of grammar concepts: sentence structure, contractions, singular & plural words, antonym, synonym, types of sentences, syllables, reference types, and more!

Students should be familiar with knowing how to create a text box in google slides.

Both of these are FREEBIES that I am offering to you!

If you’d like to subscribe to my newsletter I would be more than happy to send these on over to you!

March Morning Message Slides for Google & Power Point!

I don’t know about you but I LOVE using Morning Message Slides in my classroom and with March right around the corner, I decided to create these 5 FREE March Morning Message Slides for Google & Power Point and wanted to share them with you! FOR FREE!

There are many ways you can use these March Morning Message Slides in your classroom. I like to create instructions for my students to read and follow in the morning so that I can greet students as they enter the room, receipt money that’s turned in, read and respond to parent questions or concerns, collect important papers from students, take attendance, and so on… You know how busy the mornings get!

I simply display these slides on our promethean board and students know what they need to do! These slides help me to save time and allow me to not have to repeat morning instructions to students over and over again.

Something I may even try with these slides is to create their morning work and then push it out to students on a schedule within google classroom! Hmmm, my wheels are turning.
